Psalmos

MU-1011–4011 Crichton Chorus I - IV (1 semester hour)

Psalmos (Song of Praise) is the tour choir of Crichton College, a select, mixed chorus of 25-40 voices
that performs a wide variety of music, including Medieval, Classical, 20th-Century, Modern, Vocal Jazz,
Tribal, and other styles. Members of Psalmos tour and perform as musical ambassadors of the college,
and participation in announced tour dates is required for course credit. Psalmos singers are selected by
audition only and meet for rehearsal 4-6 hours per week. Students receive general elective course credit
and may repeat the course for up to eight semester-hours; audition is open to all students. Students taking Crichton Chorus multiple times will be required to demonstrate choral proficiencies and group leadership skills, as well as undertake additional performance requirements, commensurate with the class level for which credit is attempted.
