May 9, 2008 – Head Coach Dee Wilkes announced the signing of Christine Johnson today to the Lady Comets Cross Country team. Christine is from Clarksdale, MS and is the daughter of Levon Wright and Elizabeth Johnson.

Johnson attended Rosa Fort High School were she ran 3 years of track and cross country. Before signing with Coach Wilkes, Christine has been attending Coahoma Junior College.

Coach Wilkes is excited to have Johnson join the team and believes she will be a real asset to the Lady Comets in the 2008-2009 season.
