Donna McWhorter, head coach of Crichton's Men's Golf program, signed White Station High School golfer, Vernon Calvery, today to play for the Crichton Comets inaugural men's golf team. Vernon is a native Memphian and is the son of Wayne and Mary Calvery.

Vernon has played 3 years of golf at White Station High School under Coach Ed McDugle. He has lettered all three years. Calvery has been a member of the City Championship team all three years, and placed third in the Memphis City Championship in the 07-08 season.

Coach McWhorter is very excited to have Vernon on the Comet inaugural golf team, and feels he will be an asset to the team.
