October 10, 2007 - Crichton College's Men's Soccer team took on the Bulldogs of Union University today. In a hard fought battle, the Comets loss to the Bulldogs 1-2.

At the half, the score was tied up 0-0. Early in the second half the Bulldogs, Benny Crozier scored and 3 minutes later Bulldog, Wagner Oliverira, scored on an assist from Benny Crozier to put the Bulldogs up by two. It wasn't until late in the second half that the Comets were able to score. Gavin Smith scored the only goal for the Comets on an assist from Cathal Lynch.

The Comets had a total of 13 shots, 6 shots on goal, 1 goal, 3 corner kicks,12 fouls,and 2 yellow cards. Brad Greer had 6 saves in the game. The Bulldogs had a total of 14 shots, 7 shots on goal, 2 goals, 14 corner kicks, 12 fouls, 1 yellow card, and 4 offside. Their goalkeeper had 2 saves.

The Comets are back in action on Saturday, October 13, when they take on Lambuth University in Jackson, TN at 3:00pm.
