Memphis, TN – November 28, 2007- Crichton
College's Men's basketball team defeated Tougaloo College tonight at home. The score went back and forth several times during the first half and was tied up 5 times in the first 7 min. The Comets shot 49% from the floor, 64% 3-pt shots, and made 81% of their free throws in the first half. At the end of the half, the Comets were up by 18 points, and the score was 52-34.
In the second half, the Comets came out and continued to control the game. The Comets led throughout the second half by no less than 19 points and the largest lead being 35 shoting 45% from the floor, and making 71% of their free throws. When the buzzer sounded the score was 96-61 Comets.
Four Comets scored in double figures with Demario Chaffin leading the way with 20 points for the night. Sylvania Watkins followed with 16 and 5 rebounds. Stanley Brownlee had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Michael Sapp had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Derek Boykin had 5 assists on the night.
