Tougaloo, MS – November 14, 2007- Crichton
College's Men's basketball team was defeated tonight on the road at Tougaloo College. The lead went back and forth during the first half with the Comets up by as much as 12 points. At the end of the half the Comets were up 10 points with the score being 48-38.
In the second half, the Comets came out and continued to control the game. The Comets led the game until the 10 minute mark when the Bulldogs took the lead on a 3 pt. FG by Keithdrick Harris. The Comets battled back to tie the game four times but were unable to regain the lead. When the buzzer sounded, the Bulldogs defeated the Comets by a score of 83-87.
Michael Sapp led the Comets in scoring with 16 points. Three other Comet players scored in the double figures. Stanley Brownlee had 13 for the night, Derek Boykin scored 14, and Emanuel Wimbush scored 10. Demoriss Summers led all scores for the Bulldogs with 26.
