Memphis, TN – February 9, 2008- Crichton College's Men's basketball team was defeated by #18 ranked Martin Methodist College today at home. The RedHawks jumped out to an early lead. Tthe Comets were able to come back and tie it up with 15:28 seconds left in the half but were unable to maintain it. The RedHawks took control of the game at the 14 minute mark and the Comets were unable to catch up. At the half the Comets went into the locker room down 17 points. The score was 24-41.

In the second half the Redhawks built on their first half lead and although the Comets tried to come back, they were unable to sustain the momentum to take control of the game. At the final buzzer, the Redhawks had defeated the Comets 68-75.

Three Comets registered double figures led by Rico Seay with 12 points. Emanuel Wimbush scored 11 points, and Sylvania Watkins scored 10 points with 7 rebounds. Stanley Brownlee had 5 points with 15 rebounds
