Jackson TN – February 2, 2008- The Crichton Comets men's basketball team suffered its sixth conference loss of the season at the hands of #9 ranked Lambuth University. The Comets came into the game 12-9 overall and 6-5 in TranSouth Conference play. In a hard fought defensive game the Comets led for most of the first half. The Comets went into the went into the locker room at halftime leading 44-42.

In the second half the Comets led throughout until the 9 minute mark when the Eagles took the lead. The Comets tried to come back but were never able to overcome the point spread. After the buzzer sounded, the Eagles had defeated the Comets with a score of 77-81.

The Comets had four players in double figures for the game. Michael Sapp scored 17 points, Emanual Wimbush scored 16, Derek Boykin scored 14 and Stanley Brownlee had 10 points on the night.
