Memphis TN – January 5, 2008- The Crichton Comets men's basketball team suffered its first conference loss of the season at the hands of #14 ranked Lambuth University. The Comets came into the game 7-4 overall and 2-0 in TranSouth Conference play. In a game that was back and forth throughout the first half with the lead changing hands several times the went into the locker room at halftime trailing 41-36.

In the second half the Eagles led throughout with their largest lead reaching 25 with 11:09 left in the game. The Comets tried to come back but were never able to overcome the point spread. After the buzzer sounded, the Eagles had defeated the Comets with a score of 70-85.

The Comets had three players in double figures for the game. Stanley Brownlee scored 22 points, Derek Boykin scored 12 and Jonathan Bohanna had 10 points on the night.
