College's Men's basketball team improved their winning
streak tonight with a victory over Fisk
University. In the first nine minutes of the half, the Bulldogs were able to keep the score close with the score being tied up on four different occasions. After the 11:58 mark the Comets continued to hit bucks and increased their lead by as much as 32 points with 1:13 minutes left in the half. At the end of the first half the Comets led the Bulldogs by 30 with a score of 58-28.
In the second half, the Comets continued to build on their lead capitalizing on Bulldog turnovers. With 7:05 minutes left in the game the Comets had scored 100 points when Uros Pavlovic made a couple of free throws, but the Comets didn't stop there. They continued to pile on the points and at the final buzzer the score was 116-58.
Dontaye Hinton had a big night leading the scoring with 29. Four other Comets scored in double figures. Stanley Brownlee scored 16 points, Emanuel Wimbush scored 15,
and Demario Chaffin and Derek Boykin both scored 11. Boykin also had 8 assist on the night. Crichton
out-rebounded the Bulldogs by 21 and shot 60%
from the field including 32% from behind the arc and making 83% of their free throws..
