June 13, 2007 – Coach Brandon Rowan and Assistant Coach Brandon Patton look on as Freshman recruit, Chase Creasy, signs to play baseball for the Comets. Chase, son of Joel and Paige Creasy, is a native of Florence, AL and attended Rogers High School. While at Rogers, Chase participated in baseball, basketball, and football, lettering in all three sports. He was named to the 2006 All-Area team.

His last season's batting average was a .376 with a career batting average of .380.

Chase will be a valuable asset to the Comet infield in the 2008 season.
