1st Season at Crichton College

Rowan will begin his first season as the Comets head coach during the '06-'07 season. Rowan joined the baseball staff in August of '05 and served as the Comet's pitching coach. His experience as a player at the collegiate level will be beneficial to the Comets. Before joining Crichton, Rowan pitched three seasons for the University of Memphis. Rowan was used in a variety of roles for the Tigers during his tenure. In 2003, he led all pitchers with an 3.63 ERA, pitching as both a starter and reliever. As a reliever in 2004, Rowan was second on the team in appearances with 21. Voted Captain by his teammates in 2005, Rowan suffered a season ending elbow injury cutting his senior season short. While at Memphis, Rowan was a member of the Tiger's 3.0 academic club and was a three time member on the Conference USA's Commissioners Academic Honor Roll. Rowan Graduated in May 2004 with a B.B.A. in Marketing.

Prior to attending Memphis, Rowan played at Northwest Mississippi Community College where he was and All-State selection in 2002. Rowan helped Northwest to a Division crown in 2002 as well as a runner-up finish in the State Tournament. He posted a 7-1 record with a 2.4 ERA. Rowan's crowning achievement at Northwest was a 3 homerun performance against Jones County in the state championship game. He also earned Distinguished Academic All-American Honors for the NJCAA while at Northwest.

A three sport standout in high, Rowan played football, basketball, and baseball at Senatobia High School in Senatobia, Mississippi. He earned All-Conference in all three sports while garnering All State honors as a senior in Baseball. Rowan was selected to play in the Mississippi High School All Star Game in 2000. Rowan will serve a pitching Coach and will recruit North Mississippi.

Rowan, 25 is single and resides in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Rowan This will be Brandon Patton's first year as an assistant coach at Crichton College. He will bring knowledge and experience to the Comets baseball program. Prior to arriving at Crichton, Patton recieved his degree in Fitness Mgt. at Mississippi State University in May 2004. Before attending MSU, Coach Patton played one season at Alabama Southern Community College. Elbow surgery in the fall limited Patton to DH and finished the season with a .358 batting average. Patton was a three year letter winner at Starkville High School were he finished his career with a .368 batting average.

Patton, 27 is single and resides in Memphis, Tennessee.

Pitre who was instrumental in Crichton capturing the NCCAA National Championship in 2005, joins the staff as an student assistant and catching instructor. Pitre who joined the Comets program after transferring from North East Mississippi Community College will oversee the progress of the catchers and serve as bullpen coach during the 2006 season. Pitre capped off a nice career on May 21, 2005 by hitting a monumental 2-run homer to "seal the deal" against Oakland City, in the title game at historic Engel Stadium in Chattanooga, TN. Pitre, an extremely versatile player during his career played third base and catcher while at Crichton.
