Memphis, TN, April 22, 2008  – The Crichton College Baseball team took on the Crusaders of William Carey University today in their final home game of the season. The Crusaders got out to an early lead and the Comets were never able to catch up. The Comets got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning when Anthony Tomasetti hit a homer over the left field fence. At the end of six innings of play the score was 1-3 in favor of William Carey. In the eighth inning William Carey again got their bats going and scored 4 runs, but the Comets came back in the bottom of the eighth inning and were able to score 3 runs, but it was not enough and the Crusaders defeated the Comets by a score of 4-7.

Next up the Comets travel to Jackson, TN to take on Union University in a three game series that starts on Thursday, April 24, at 5:00 with a double header and continues on Friday, April 25 at 3:00 with one nine inning game.
