Memphis, TN, March 18, 2008  – The Crichton College Baseball took on the Cougars of Kansas Wesleyan University at home today. The Cougars got on the board in the top of the 2nd inning when Brock Pettyjohn homered over the left field fence. The score stayed 0-1, Cougars until the bottom of the 7th inning when D.J. Merriwether scored off a single hit to left field by Nick Gardner tying the game up 1-1. The Cougars came back in the top of the 8th inning and scored 2 runs off of Comet errors. The Comets were unable to score in the 8th or 9th innings and the game ended with the Cougars defeating the Comets by a score of 1-3.

Next up the Comets take to the road for a 3 game series in Nashville, TN against the Trojans of Trevecca-Nazarene Univeristy on March 21-22. Game time on Friday is 2:00pm and the double headers start on Saturday at 12:00pm.
