Jackson, MS , February 12, 2008  – The Crichton College Baseball team traveled to Jackson, MS today to take on the Blazers of Belhaven College in the first of a two game series. The game start was delayed an hour because of rain, but the Comets finally took the field around 5:00pm. The Comets were not able to get their bats going and the Blazers jumped out to an early 6 run lead. The Comets finally got on the board in the top of the seventh when Dustin Young scored a run. Neither teams were able to score in the eighth or ninth innings and the game ended with the Blazers defeating the Comets 1-9 in the first of the two game series.

The second game will be played, Wednesday, February 13, at 4:00pm.

Next up the Comets travel to Jackson, MS to take on Belhaven College on Tuesday, February 12 and Wednesday, February 13. Both games start at 4:00 pm.
