April 5-6 , Memphis TN  – The Crichton College Baseball team took on the Wildcats of Bethel College in a three game series this weekend. In the first game, the Comets were unable to get their bats going and were defeated by the Wildcats by a score of 0-8.

The second game of the series went much like game 1, the Comets had 4 hits in the game, but weren't able to bring a runner across home plate. The Wildcats defeated the Comets in game 2 by a score of 0-2.

In the thrid game, the Wildcats got on the board quick when the first basemen hit a grandslam homerun to bring in 4 runs. The Comets answered in the bottom of the second with a homerun by John David Beane. The Wildcats scored another 2 runs in the top of the fourth inning, and the Comets answered back with 2 runs of their own. John David Beane hit his second homerun of the day to bring in Cody Bumpus and himself. With four innings played, the score was 3-6 in favor of the Wildcats. The Comets scored again in the bottom of the seventh and the bottom of the ninth, but it was not enough. The Wildcats had scored 3 unanswered runs in the top of the eighth inning. The game ended with the Wildcats defeating the Comets by a score of 6-9.
