November 9, 2007 - The Lady Comets volleyball team traveled to Lyon College in Batesville, AR today to compete in the TranSouth Conference Championship.

In the first match, the Lady Comets took on the Lady Bulldogs of Cumberland University. In a three game sweep, the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Comets 3 games to none, 17-30, 6-30, and 8-30. Deanna Chambers lead the Lady Comets with an attack total of 6, 1 defensive dig, and 1 block, followed by Jasmine Vann who had an attack total of 5 and 2 defensive digs.

In the consolation match, the Lady Comets played Cumberland University again. Although the Lady Comets played a tough defensive match, the Lady Bulldogs defeated them 3 games to none, with scores of 14-30, 25-30, and 20-30. Deanna Chambers lead the Lady Comets in attack totals with 12 with Alisha Barr following with an attack total of 10 and 3 blocks. Jessica Divitorio had 8 set assists in the match and Rachel Walton had 5.
