September 28-29, 2007 - The Lady Comets volleyball team traveled to Itta Bena, MS to play in the Mississippi Valley State University Volleyball Tournament. On Friday, September 28, the Lady Comets played the Lady Hornets of Alabama State University in their first match. The Lady Hornets defeated the Lady Comets 1-3 with scores of 22-30, 30-25, 14-30, and 13-30. In their second match, the Lady Comets played the Delta Devils. The Delta Devils took the match in a three game sweep with scores of 11-30, 12-30, and 15-30.

On Saturday, September 29, the Lady Comets played Grambling State University and the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Lady Comets were defeated in a three game sweep by the Lady Tigers of Grambling 5-30, 9-30, and 4-30. In the match with University Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the Lady Comets lost 19-30, 19-30, and 16-30.

The Lady Comets are back in regular season action on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 6:00 pm against Rhodes College at Rhodes.
