May 2 , 2008 – The Crichton College Lady Comets took to the field early this morning to play the Lady Bulldogs of Union University in what turned out to be their final game of the TranSouth Conference tournament. The Lady Comets got on the board first when Sierra Coltharp hit a single to shallow right field with runners at second and third. Erica Valentine scored to put the Lady Comets up 1-0, but it wouldn't be for long. The Lady Bulldogs came back in the bottom of the second inning and scored 4 runs going ahead of the Lady Comets 1-4. The Lady Bulldogs would score another run in the bottom of the third and five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Lady Comets could not rally and were defeated by the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 1-10 ending the Lady Comets tournament play.

Final Score: Crichton 1 - Union University 10
