May 1 , 2008 – The Crichton College Lady Comets took on the Lady Bulldogs of Cumberland University today in their third game of the Transouth Conference tournament. The Lady Bulldogs got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning scoring 1 run. The score would remain 0-1 until the top of the fourth inning when the Lady Comets got their bats working. With the bases loaded, Brittany Davis singled to shallow left field bringing Ashley Smith in. Then Sierra Coltharp hit a double to deep center allowing Amiee Grissom and Erica Valentine to score. At the end of four innings of play the Lady Comets were up 3-1. The Lady Bulldogs weren't able to rally and the Lady Comets would defeat the Lady Bulldogs to advance in the Transouth tournament by a score of 3-1.
