February 25 , 2008 – The Crichton College Lady Softball team took on the Lady Mustangs of Central Baptist College today at home. In the first game, the Lady Comets scored a run in the bottom of the second inning on a single by Aimee Grissom allowing Ashley Coffmam to score.gles scored 4 runs. In the top of the third inning, the Lady Mustangs scored 3 runs making the score 1-3. The Lady Comets came back in the bottom of the third and Jessica Divitorio scored off a triple by Erica Valentine making the score 2-3. Neither team scored in the fourth inning, but in the bottom of the fifth the Lady Comets again got their bats going and Ashley Coffman hit a triple to left-center allowing Jessica Divitorio and Sierra Coltharp to cross the plate. The Lady Comets would go up 4-3. The sixth and seventh innings were 3 up 3 down innings and the Lady Comets would defeat the Lady Mustangs 4-3.

In the second game, the Lady Mustangs jumped out to an early 2 run lead in the first inning. The score would remain 2-0 until the bottom of the fifth when Brittany Davis singled up the middle with a runner on third and one on second. Erica Valentine would score off thie single, but the Lady Comets would still trail by 1 run. At the end of five innings the score was 1-2. Neither team would score again and the game would end with the Lady Mustangs defeating the Lady Comets 1-2.
