March 11 , 2008 – The Crichton College Lady Softball team took on the Lady Bucs of Christian Brothers University today at home. In the first game, the Lady Comets held off the Lady Bucs until the top of the third inning. In the top of the third the Lady Bucs scored a run, they scored another run in the top of the fourth inning, and then scored 2 runs in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 0-4. The Lady Comets held the Lady Bucs in the sixth and seventh innings with great defensive play, but were defeated 0-4 in the first game.

In the second game, the Lady Bucs jumped out to an early 3 run lead in the top of the first inning, but the Lady Comets would come back and score a run in the bottom of the first. The Lady Bucs would score another run in the top of the second to make the score 1-4. The score would remain 1-4 until the top of the seventh inning when the Lady Bucs would score 1 more run. The Lady Comets were unable to get their bats working and would be defeated in the second game by the Lady Bucs with a score of 1-5.

Next up the Lady Comets travel to Jackson, TN on Wednesday, March 12, to take on the Lady Bulldogs of Union University in a double header. Game 1 starts at 2:00 pm with the second game following.
