March 12 , 2008 – The Lady Comets softball team took to the road today to take on the Lady Bulldogs of Union University. In the first game, the Lady Lions held the Lady Comets to no runs until the top of the seventh inning. Ashley Smith scored when Brittany Davis got on base off a missed catch in the seventh inning. The Lady Comets didn't score again, and the Lady Bulldogs defeated the them 1-5.

In the second game, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning and 2 runs in the bottom of the third, and another in the bottom of the fourth giving the Lady Bulldogs a 0-5 lead. The Lady Comets were never able to get their bats working, and the Lady Bulldogs were able to score 3 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game 0-8 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs.
