April 1 , 2008 – The Lady Comets softball team took to the road today to take on the Lady Eagles of Lambuth University. In the first game, the score was tied up 2-3 with three innings played when Ashley Coffman hit a homerun to tie the score. The score would remain tied 3 all until the top of the sixth inning when the Lady Comets would score 2 runs to go ahead of the Lady Eagles 5-3. The Lady Comets hold would on to defeat the Lady Eagles by a score of 5-3.

In the second game, the Lady Comet, Brittany Enochs, would get the only hit and score the only run for the Lady Comets in the top of the first inning. The score would remain 1-0, and the Lady Comets came away with the win defeating the Lady Eagles in both games of the double-header.

Next up, the Lady Comets travel to Mayfield, KY, to take on the Lady Cougars of Mid-Continent University on Wednesday, April 2, in a double header. First games starts at 2:00pm.
