April 23 , 2008 – The Lady Comets softball team took to the road today to take on the Lady Pipers of Lyon College. In the first game the Lady Pipers got out to an early lead scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Lady Comets would come back though in the top of the fourth inning and bring Erica Valentine across the plate making the score 1-2 but the Lady Comets weren't finished. In the top of the sixth inning the Lady Comets would capitalize off of errors made by the Lady Pipers and score 6 runs. The Lady Comets would go on to win the first game by a score of 7-3.

In the second game, the Lady Comets just could not get their bats going and the Lady Pipers were hot. The Lady Pipers had 15 hits in the game and scored 7 runs to only one run scored by the Lady Comets. The Lady Pipers would take the second game by a score of 1-7.
