April 20 , 2008 – The Lady Comets softball team took on the Lady Bulldogs of Cumberland University today at home. In the first game, the Lady Bulldogs held the Lady Comets to only 3 runs. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Comets by a score of 7-3.

In the second game, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and the Lady Comets were unable to answer. At the end of six innings of play, the Lady Bulldogs were up 0-7. The Lady Comets were finally able to bring a run across the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it was too little too late. The Lady Bulldogs would defeat the Lady Comets by a score of 1-7.
