January 19 , 2008 – Head Coach Michelle Wilkes announced the addition of Brandy Runnels, a senior at Hillcrest Christian School. Runnels signed a four-year softball scholarship with Crichton College in Memphis, TN.  Brandy is the daughter of Martha Runnels and a resident of Crystal Springs, MS. 

She has played softball for Hillcrest for the past 3 years.  Runnels has received numerous awards including MVP and All-State.  She was selected to the Mississippi All-Star team in 2007.
