June 27, 2007 – Head Coach Michelle Wilkes announced the addition of Ashley Coffman to the Lady Comets roster today. Coffman is the daughter of Wade and Scarlett Coffman and a native of LaVergne, TN.

She attended LaVergne High School were she played for Coach Brenda Morris and Jeff Smedley. Coffman was a 4 year letterman, chosen Most Improved Varsity Player her junior year, and lead the team in home runs and RBI's her senior year. Academically, she is has been awarded the Hope Scholarship and the Junior Classical League.

Ashley says, "My expectations are very high for myself and for the team. I look forward to the experience that both Crichton Softball and College will give me to prepare for a successful future. I thank God for leading me down the path that opened this door. "

Ashley plans to major in Secondary Education.
