Memphis, TN - September 2, 2005 – Crichton’s Ladies Soccer team lost their first ever intercollegiate game 2-1 yesterday against a tough Missouri Baptist team. The ladies from Missouri Baptist coming off a 2-1 victory against 22^nd ranked Mount Vernon got all that they could handle with the youngsters from Crichton. Tiffany Genovese gave the Comets their first ever lead and her first ever career goal with a ten yard volley in the 4^th minute. The Lady Comets would lead the game for 81 of the 90 minutes only to give up the tying goal with 9 minutes to play and the game winner with only 45 seconds remaining. Missouri Baptist escapes with the win and the Lady Comets fall to 0-1 on their inaugural campaign. 

Final Score: Crichton 1 – Missouri Baptist 2

The next chance for the Lady Comets to register their first win will come on Sunday the 4^th of September as Crichton plays host to the Lady Eagles of Lambuth University.
