Memphis, TN - September 2, 2005 – Crichton’s Ladies
Soccer team lost their first ever intercollegiate game
2-1 yesterday against a tough Missouri Baptist team. The
ladies from Missouri Baptist coming off a 2-1 victory
against 22nd ranked Mount Vernon got all that
they could handle with the youngsters from Crichton.
Tiffany Genovese gave the Comets their first ever lead
and her first ever career goal with a ten yard volley in
the 4th minute. The Lady Comets would lead
the game for 81 of the 90 minutes only to give up the
tying goal with 9 minutes to play and the game winner
with only 45 seconds remaining. Missouri Baptist escapes
with the win and the Lady Comets fall to 0-1 on their
inaugural campaign.

The
next chance for the Lady Comets to register their first
win will come on Sunday the 4th of September
as Crichton plays host to the Lady Eagles of Lambuth
University.
