Batesville AR – October 26, 2005 - The lady Comets of Crichton College got a 2-0 victory on the road at Lyon College today. The win signifies the end of the first regular season and the begining of the first post season for Crichton. The game was won on Crichton's stingy defense and the leg of Tiffany Genovese. Crichton's defense gave up only three shots on goal during the game while Genovese booted in 2 goals to give the Lady Comets the win. Ginny Galloway set up Genovese for her first goal while Renee Blanchard picked up an assist on the second goal scored in the final 45 minutes. The win gives Crichton their fourth win of the season and some much needed momentum going into the Conference tournament. The Lady Comets who were picked last in the pre-season Coaches poll will finish no worse than fourth and could move into the number three spot with a Trevecca loss on Saturday. If Crichton finishes fourth they will face Martin Methodist in the first round of the TranSouth Athletic Conference tournament which begins on the 31st of this month. A third place finish will put the Lady Comets up against Cumberland University.

Next up the Lady Comets will travel to Pulaski, TN to participate in their first ever Conference tournament to be held at Martin Methodist College. They will face either Cumberland University or the host Martin Methodist.
