Hallie Carr -Coach Carr will be entering her fourth season with the Comets as the Danstars coach and choreographer Hallie was born and raised in Memphis. She has striven to be a dancer since her little feet touched the floor. Like many aspiring dancers, she has performed competitively from grade school through College and then professionally thereafter. While in high school at Immaculate Conception, Hallie competed nationally with CBHS Pom Squad for three years. Then as a student at the University of Memphis, she danced for The University of Memphis Pom Squad. In 1998, during their brief stay in Memphis, Hallie danced for the The Tennessee Oilers. It was then that she traveled to Hawaii and performed at the Pro Bowl as a representative for Tennessee. Following college graduation with a BA in Sales and Marketing, Hallie danced for the The Memphis RedBirds "Redhots" and the XFL’s Memphis Maniacs. In 2001, she would again do what she loves and dance professionally with the Memphis Grizzlies dance team. In 2003 and at the conclusion of her second season, Hallie chose to fulfill another lifelong dream—starting her family.

Hallie is actively involved in her church, Hope Presbyterian. She teaches dance aerobics two nights a week and, along with her husband, works in the Children’s Ministry. Her faith is important to her and evident in the way she coaches young talent. In the past, she has been trained the "right" and "wrong" way. Her intention with the Crichton dance team is to prove to her team that dancers will improve with constructive criticism; and, that with motivation, positive feedback, and encouragement they can do anything.

Hallie also brings ten years of coaching and choreographing to Crichton’s dance team. She has used her knowledge of dance to help develop this dance program. With Hallie’s expertise, a polished dance team is what Crichton fans will get. The 2005-2006 dance team has been creatively named the Danstars. She promises a unique blend of girls that will entertain us at all Basketball games. They will be synchronized and sharp, with a hip-hop style all their own. Crichton College should be proud of their new dance team program and the Danstars carefully chosen to represent them.
