Q: What degree can I earn?
A: You can earn the following degrees through the
Accelerated Evening Program:
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
• Bachelor of Science in Psychology
• Bachelor of Science in Education
• Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Major

Q: How long will it take to complete my degree?
A: Since the Accelerated Evening Program is not a lock-step program, the answer to this question depends mainly on the number of credits that will transfer from your previous institutions. When you apply, you will receive a transcript analysis that identifies the courses for which you will receive transfer credit and the courses that you need to take in order to complete your degree. The Accelerated Evening Program allows you to set your own pace toward completing a college degree. Typically, taking two courses each 8-week term is considered full-time status.

Q: When and where are the classes held?
A: Classes are in the evening from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Crichton College campus located at 255 North Highland between Walnut Grove and Summer Avenue.

Q: How often do I attend class?
A: Classes meet once a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday. A few classes meet on Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Q: What are accelerated sessions?
A: Accelerated Evening Program sessions are eight weeks long. Earn up to four credit hours for each class that you take. Sessions begin in:
• August • October • January • March• June

Q: How can I earn 30 semester credits per year?
A: If you take two courses per eight-week sessions, you will earn 30 credits (3 credits x 2 courses x 5 sessions per year). The total number of hours earned will vary depending the coursework you choose.

Q: I have been out of the classroom a long time? Will I be able to
keep up?

A: We will work with you to ensure your success. Your classmates
are adults just like you. Our goal is to help you achieve your dream of an education.

Q: How large will my classes be?
A: Class sizes are small, averaging 15 to 20 students to allow for group
discussion and individual attention.

Q: What if I already have some of the courses? Will you
accept them?

A: Yes, as long as the courses meet our transfer criteria.

Q: What are the office hours for the Accelerated Evening Program?
A: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
