High School Senior Program

Rising High School Senior Program Admissions Requirements

Exceptional high school students, after completing their junior year of high school, may earn college credit for advanced placement by attending one or more terms at Crichton College. Rising seniors are welcome to apply for admission to the Rising Senior Program at Crichton College and must submit to the following criteria in order to be reviewed for acceptance to Crichton College:

1. An application: A Rising Senior Program application may be submitted one of two ways.  It may be completed and submitted online through the Crichton College website or may completed on paper and submitted to the Office of Admissions.

2.  Official transcripts:  An applicant should be at least junior holding a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale of a regionally accredited or approved high school.  It should be noted that though High School juniors may apply, if accepted they cannot attend classes at Crichton College until their senior year in High School. Early decisions can be made through the submission of an official transcript sent from the applicant’s high school after the completion of at least the 5th semester (the junior year) in high school; however another official transcript would need to be submitted upon the completion on the student’s junior year (6th semester) of high school.  An official transcript must be mailed directly from the high school to Crichton College: Office of Admissions.  Transcripts submitted by a student are not acceptable for admission and are not considered official documents.  An applicant cannot be reviewed for acceptance to Crichton College until an official transcript is received

3. A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 (this fee is waived if the application is completed on-line.)

4. One recommendation letter from the student's principal or counselor at their school.
