Special Categories of Admission

Non-Matriculated Students or Non-Degree Students

Students may be admitted to Crichton College on a non-matriculated (non-degree) basis. This status means that the student may be admitted in order to register for any course or courses which he/she is qualified to attempt, but the student is not admitted to a formal degree program nor is that student eligible to graduate from Crichton College under this status. Non-matriculated (non-degree) students are welcome to enroll in classes at Crichton College and must submit the following criteria in order to be admitted under this category of Admission status:

1. An application: An application may be submitted one of two ways.  It may be completed and submitted online through the Crichton College website or may completed on paper and submitted to the Office of Admissions.

2. Transcript from current institution is required.
*Proof of academic eligibility may be requested in order to register for a class that requires pre-requisites.

3. A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 (This fee is waived if the application is completed on-line.)

4. Any additional items and information requested of the applicant by the Office of Admissions.

*A student admitted as a non-matriculated or non-degree student, who desires to pursue a degree or take classes for credit at a later time must first re-apply as a degree-seeking student and meet all admissions requirements as a freshman or transfer student as described herein. If the student desires to change to a matriculated status and thus pursue a degree, it will be necessary to satisfy all formal requirements fro admission as defined above. Admission to a non-matriculated (non-degree) status does not guarantee automatic admission to degree seeking status.
